I recently wrapped filming on the feature, A Mind of its Own, in which I played a fiery redhead Scottish lass! I also had a featured role in the ABC series The Deep End. Both of these shot in Dallas, so I've become quite friendly with I-35 (and kolaches in West, TX!).
In the retro culture and pin-up world, I had a beautiful pictorial in issue No. 9 of "Bachelor Pad Magazine," featuring mid-century modern elan in a tribute to Mad Men. I was also invited to perform in the inaugural New Orleans Burlesque Festival held as Harrah's Casino Theatre.
There are rumors of a documentary team interested in following me and some of my performer colleagues around... stay tuned!

I recently returned from a West Coast tour with the "psycho garage-a-billy" band, Johnny Hootrock. I was a featured go-go dancer and burlesque performer on the tour, and got to make my Hollywood debut at The Viper Room!
I will say that after traveling through parts of the desert that were 119 degrees, the weather here in Austin doesn't feel so bad... ;-)

I was in two films premiering at SXSW 2009!
Ventilo, a short dreamy film about the silent hierarchy of fan dancers...

AND...
The 2 Bobs, the gamer geek-tastic feature by Tim McCanlies (Iron Giant, Secondhand Lions)!

Happy New Year!! Some very exciting news... yesterday, an ad I appeared in for Cargill was printed on the back page of Section A of The Wall Street Journal! We thought the ad would only appear in Europe and Asia, so it was a total surprise to get the call yesterday that it was in the US paper!

"Drunken Hearted Woman," the new music video for The Spoiled Royals, is now up on YouTube for your viewing enjoyment!
Special thanks to director Jon Flynn and hot-rod owner Mark Ford for their dedication and generosity.
See it here: www.youtube.com/watch
I also have some new photos to show you... Austin designer Emily Clay has made some whimsical waist cinchers, skirts and tops, and photographer Bryan Bassett has captured them on film. Emily Clay has created a collection for those Victorian revelers looking for something to wear to the Steampunk Ball at Elysium later this month. Her creations can be found at Secret October on South 1st St. Here's one of the shots. The others can be found in the "Modeling" gallery.

The Two Bobs is officially wrapped, the Tito's has been consumed, and the Farmer's Market on Burnet vacated. Despite the oven-like heat inside the warehouse turned "Boots'N Boobs", no one passed out, and the dancers managed to have a darn good time inappropriately handling barbeque. And some folks had a darn good time watching that! According to the call sheet, my official role is "Sausage Dancer." Believe me I am doing all I can to get that changed. It just conjures up the wrong image, you know? (Guido in a Speedo!) How about... Sausage Vixen?

I have been cast in the new Tim McCanlies (Secondhand Lions) film, The Two Bobs, currently shooting in Austin! It might prove to be a somewhat scandalous role- more info on that later...

The Austinist wrote a review of Speed-the-Plow, and you can read it here!

I am currently performing in the Austin Playhouse production of David Mamet's dark comedy, Speed-the-Plow, directed by Lara Toner and Michael Stuart. In it, she plays the naive (or is she?) secretary who throws a monkey wrench in the money-making plans of two rising Hollywood producers. This role was originated on Broadway by that grande dame of the boards, Madonna, in 1988. With language that would sometimes make a pirate blush (it is Mamet...), this play is not for the kiddoes or the faint of heart. It runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 5pm, through May 11th. Please visit www.AustinPlayhouse.com for more information or call (512) 476-0084 for reservations.
